Shindagha AI – Wind, Memory, and Machine

This installation reinterprets the traditional Emirati barjeel (wind tower) through the lens of artificial intelligence. Rather than reconstructing historic architecture, the work explores how AI can reinterpret cultural heritage, generating new spatial compositions that remain rooted in the identity of Old Dubai. The towers become a speculative skyline where history and computation coexist, inviting viewers to reflect on the relationship between memory, technology, and the future of architectural design.

The work was exhibited at Realiity House (House 341) in Dubai's Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, a venue dedicated to exploring the intersection of art, emerging technologies, and immersive digital experiences. Located within one of Dubai's oldest heritage districts, Realiity House provides a compelling setting where contemporary experimentation unfolds against a backdrop of preserved Emirati architecture, creating a dialogue between tradition and innovation.
